General Studio Information
The dance program at Stacia's School of Dance runs from September through May. The majority of our dancers dance 1 day a week at a set class day/time. We will take new students through the month of December. We generally have 3 performances per year, Country Day on the Hill, Cedar Hill Christmas Tree lighting and the end of the year recital. We use a class outfit designated at the beginning of the dance year for the Country Day performance and also to wear to class throughout the year. The class outfit is required for Level I and above and optional for the preschool and K-1st grade. For the Christmas performance, we generally do DIY performance outfits based on the theme. The end of the year recital is our BIG EVENT. We order special costumes for this performance. We do a full recital where every class has a routine for each style of dance they learn during the year.
The costumes for the May recital generally cost between $65 and $90 each. We collect a deposit for each costume in the Fall. Deposit details can be found in the class policies for each level of class. That deposit is due by December 1st, but can be paid any time after the first week of class. This deposit makes it possible for us to order the costumes as we have to pay for them up front and they have to be ordered by January 1st. A remaining balance will be due in March once we are able to calculate the totals for each costume. We will have a picture week at the studio in the Spring where each dancer can have pictures taken in their recital costumes and with their class. There is no obligation to purchase pictures, but we ask that everyone attend so that the class picture will be accurate. Please read the information below for costs and dress code information.
Automatic Credit / Debit Card Authorization
Stacia’s School of Dance requires all dancers to pay tuition through an automatic credit card authorization. In order to do this, each family is required to fill out an online authorization form giving Stacia’s School of Dance permission to charge the listed credit/debit card for their monthly tuition.
If you need a update your Credit Card Authorization Form, Click Here.
Stacia’s School of Dance accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Dropout Policy and Late Fees
There is no fee assessed for dropping out of dance. Stacia’s School of Dance does require one paid month notice of your intent to dropout. Your dancer can dance during that month, but payment for that month is required either way. If you drop out the second week of October, you will be charged for November tuition, so your child can dance through November.
It is each family's responsibility to maintain your credit/debit card in good standing with Stacia's School of Dance. If your card is declined for monthly tuition, you will be notified by e-mail and given 5 days from the date of that e-mail to correct the problem and clear your account. After the 5 days, there will be a $10 late fee applied to your account. There will be a $10 administrative fee applied to any payment received by any method other than the credit/debit card on file. For example, if you do not clear your account within the 5 day period and pay your tuition with cash, check, or a different credit/debit card than the one you have on file, then you will owe an additional $20 in fees.
If your card was declined because it was lost or stolen and you need to change the account information on file, you may do so within the 5 day notification period for no charge.
